Your visit will begin in our Developmental Psychology Welcome Centre. Here we can offer you refreshments while your child explores our range of toys and meets the member of staff who will be running the study. This time also gives you the opportunity to hear about the study and ask any questions that you may have (of course, you may ask us questions at any time!).

The study begins when we all go through to the testing room. This is a room with a table for us all to sit at. The studies all vary, but each typically involves a series of toys being placed onto the table and shown to your child. We then ask your child to show us different items, either by pointing or picking them up. 

We are very grateful to all our volunteers and like to thank the children with a small gift (such as a cuddly toy or story book). We can also reimburse your travel expenses to the University.
