Street orienteering

This Tuesday's club night will be a orienteering 'score' competition. In this variant of orienteering everyone gets a map with control sites marked. There is no particular route, and you can visit the controls in any order. The aim is to get to as many controls as possible in the allotted time - say 45 minutes. The winner is the person who gets to the most controls and returns to the finish before the time runs out. We will use the electronic kit for timing and have chips to lend out for the evening. The meeting time is 7.30pm outside Aldrington School which is in Eridge Road, Hove, BN3 7QD. I haven't booked the school hall this week, so please don't go on to the school grounds. You will need a pen, but if you don't have a torch then we will soon find one to lend you. There will be street running, so please wear something hi-viz if you can. Fees are 1. Newcomers are always welcome and we'll give you a hand to get started.
