Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM)

A Hitachi-7100 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM)

with an axially-mounted

Gatan Ultrascan 1000 CCD camera

This is a high-resolution instrument (0.204nm lattice; 0.45nm particle) with an accelerating voltage range of 25-125kV for the ultrastructural examination of thin to semi-thin sections and particulate samples. Images are acquired digitally via an axially-mounted (2K X 2K pixel) Gatan Ultrascan 1000 CCD camera

See 'How to plan and execute your EM project ' for details of TEM use and methodologies involved
